Thomas the Train is toy #1 this year.
Testing out the new train set, even we were having fun with it! This is our new living room furniture
Lori had an Art Show last night and she had some beautiful work on display! Just a few more months before your done with grad school Lori!!! Congrats to her for the successful show:) Here is a video of how Jackson and his little friend Arie took over the Art Show at the end. Its so nice to know that Jackson can entertain himself so well. Enjoy...
(Couldn't rotate the video again!)
You forget how exciting the little rides are until you have a little one to ride with you!

Everytime the lawnmower is going, Jackson has to see where Jimmy is at! I finally let him go out there while he was mowing and this is what he got to do. He did such a good job helping out:) Jackson is doing a lot of running, roaming, and pointing at everything. He is also going through this "whiney" stage where if hes not babbling, he is whining. Obviously we are counting down the days until thats done! He also says mama, dada, uh oh, and some animal sounds too. Not a lot of words but were loving everything he has said so far. I was worried because he had 8-9 ear infections in the last year but his doctor (and us) think he is hearing just fine. It will all come in time. Our summer is coming to an end so I'm getting sad about that. Jackson starts back at daycare tomorrow while I go to my classroom and make sure I'm ready for my 23 other kids! I'm sure it will be a rough few weeks of adjusting for all of us but we will get through it. Maybe it won't be so bad. I like to assume the worst in this type of situation so that hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised! I try to tell myself that it is much harder on me than it will be on him. That helps too. On a brighter note, it does feel good to be back at work and see all of my friends every day. We have had one of the best summers I can remember with weddings, showers, birthdays, vacations, concerts, family, and friends! And lots of sunshine to top it off! Hope you enjoy our little guy pushing the lawn mower as much as we did:)
We just got back 2 days ago from a little weekend getaway to my Uncle Greg and Aunt Carols Lake House on Lake Oconee in Georgia. As you can see we spent most of our time in the pool or around the lake. My favorite part about going down there is that we don't even wear shoes for days! Email and phones aren't even a concern, just family and fun. Brooks was nice enough to let Jackson sleep in his "crib in the closet." It sounds funny but it worked out well and allowed him to sleep when he wanted to. Nothing is better then being in the sun all day and having a drink or two at night by the pool. We will probably look at these pictures come December and talk about how there is light at the end of the tunnel, or just the end of winter. We have almost a month left of summer and I plan on keeping us busy almost everyday. Thats definately something were good at. Jackson is doing great! He is making lots of new sounds and expressions and is into EVERYTHING! We usually go on walks in the morning and sometimes later in the day with Jill and Olivia. He is so addicting to be around, I just can't get enough. I always say are best friends...and we really are!!! Hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying all the beautiful weather we have been having!!! Oh, and sorry about the small pictures, I don't know what to say about that?!
Finally some pictures!!! Thanks Lori for posting them! I still am not able to on my computer...what a mystery! Anyway, here are some pictures from Amy and Gunars Wedding and other parties/picnics we have been to this summer. I keep saying how this summer has been so fun and filled with places to go and beautiful weather. And we still ave so much more to go:) In a few weeks we will be going to Atlanta to visit my family that lives there. We love going there because they are so fun and easy to be around. And I guess the lake house with pool and boats never hurts either! Check out the black and white pictures below of Jackson, your going to want to eat him up! What a little man he is becoming!
Jacksons big moment at his party...that was two weeks ago. Sorry I'm a little slow at posting pictures. I really don't know where the time goes, haha. I know there are more that I just don't have yet. I was a little to occupied to do the pictures myself too. Someone has to have this cute family pose from the right direction, right?!
My baby! Here is a quick little video of Jackon walking the other day. Everyday he gets better and better. We joke that it looks like he had a few cocktails because he has to balance with his arms so much. We have been busy around here getting the house together by painting, putting up blinds, organizing, and just adjusting to keeping an entire house clean! And I don't like to clean!!! I must say that I do find myself wanting to clean a little more just because its "our new house" Anyway, hopefully we will see everyone this weekend for his birthday party! Can't wait:) I will try to post some pictures ASAP from the party! Oh, and only 25 1/2 more days of school (For the CP crew) haha.
Here are a few more pictures of Jackson on his 1st Birthday! It took him a while to warm up to playing in his cake, but he did. And he loved it!!! We also moved into our new house the same day! I guess thats how we role! It actually turned out fine and the day went very smoothly, considering we moved EVERYTHING in that day. It was nice to have Jackson's cake and pizza to look forward to. Talk about doing everything at once! We wouldn't have it any other way:)
He loved our singing voices:)
